Shop Location: 41137 Raintree Ct, Murrieta, CA 92562
Shop Hours: Monday through Friday, 8am – 5pm.
Job Type: Full Time, Regular
Pay: Starting pay offered will vary based on knowledge, skill, ASE Certification, and experience. We offer a bonus plan in addition to hourly pay.

Job Description:
Autohaus Frankfurt is a full-service auto repair facility, including some performance modifications.

To be successful as a technician, you must be able to perform essential duties on German car makes independently or with minimal collaboration. The duties listed below include, but are not limited to, the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required:
  • Examine/inspect and diagnose customer vehicles to identify recommended repairs and/or maintenance, while considering customer described issues.
  • Utilize automotive computer systems.
  • Run diagnostic scans and read results; trouble-shoot and analyze systems or equipment.
  • Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance efficiently and according to guidelines, such as those related to engine, transmission, tune-up, air conditioning, brakes, and electrical systems.
  • Make notes and document services and activities performed on vehicles using DVI software.
  • Conduct safety or pre-purchase inspections on vehicles.
  • Test systems and conduct test-drive to ensure vehicle repair was successful.
  • Install approved performance components or tunes authorized by the customer.
  • Maintain clean work ethic including work area and vehicles, and ensure it is safe and organized.
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors about status of vehicle, additional work needed, or changes and document according to shop process.
  • Participate in training.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Must have own tools and toolbox.

Qualifications:
Candidates who apply must have:
  • ASE Certifications: minimum of four areas to qualify as a B-level technician or minimum of six areas to qualify as an A-level technician.
  • 3 years minimum experience as an Automotive Service Technician in diagnostics and repair of German vehicles.
  • Ability to use the latest diagnostic equipment and other automotive computer systems.
  • Valid California Drivers License and clean driving record.
  • Be able to lift 50 or more pounds as needed by the repair job.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience with common tools used in the automotive industry, such as hand tools, power tools, car lifts, and jacks.
  • Ability to bend, move, lift, and physically perform duties in the scope of this position.

Other Success Factors:
  • In your resume, include ASE certifications, dealership training, automotive coursework, and/or other industry certifications.
  • Must be able to utilize all physical functioning required to push, pull, reach, kneel, crawl, stand, walk and other functions necessary to complete the job independently.
  • Must be able to work in shop conditions, which may include exposure to loud noises, vibration, exhaust fumes, and other service and repair conditions. The service area may become cold in winter or hot in summer.
  • Must be able to use logical reasoning, understand instructions, and communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend manuals, guides, or other resource/reference materials.
